Terms of Service & Policies

1. Platform Nature

PromoTicket operates as an online ticketing intermediary and promotional marketplace connecting independent event organisers with attendees across South Africa.

2. Ticketing & Gate Entry Policy

Each digital ticket contains a unique, cryptographically signed QR code. A ticket is valid for one admission only. Upon entry validation by gate scanners, the ticket code is permanently marked as "Checked In". Duplicate presentation of the same ticket will result in immediate admission denial.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

In accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA): If an event is cancelled or postponed indefinitely by the organiser, ticket buyers are entitled to a full refund of the ticket face value. For general ticket cancellations requested by buyers, refunds are subject to the specific organiser's policy.

4. Cash at Gate Reservations

Cash at Gate reservations guarantee venue capacity allocation. However, attendees must arrive and settle the ticket balance in cash with gate marshals prior to the event's stated reservation cutoff time.

5. Organiser & Promoter Agreement

Organisers agreeing to list events on PromoTicket contractually accept our standard 10% commission fee on paid tickets. Organisers guarantee that they possess the necessary municipal permits, liquor licenses, and venue permissions required by South African law.
